Our Journey
About Street Dreams Corvette Club
Founded in Virginia Beach. Driven by Passion Since 2000.
Street Dreams Corvette Club began with a simple idea: bring together Corvette owners who shared a passion for America's sports car and a commitment to friendship, community, and excellence.
The club's roots trace back to 1997 when founder John Davis launched Elements of Speed, a custom detailing and performance business serving automotive enthusiasts throughout Hampton Roads. While involved in the local performance car scene, John recognized that Corvette owners needed a dedicated community where they could fully celebrate and enjoy the unique heritage of the Corvette.
In August 2000, Street Dreams Corvette Club was officially established.
Joined by fellow Corvette enthusiasts and U.S. Navy members Ken Byrd, Darren Thomas, and Gregory "The General" Lee, the club quickly grew into one of the most respected Corvette organizations in Southeastern Virginia.
Over the years, Street Dreams members have represented the club at car shows, parades, charity events, community fundraisers, and automotive gatherings throughout the region. Through every generation of Corvette, the club has remained committed to camaraderie, professionalism, community service, and a shared love for America's iconic sports car.
Today, Street Dreams Corvette Club continues to welcome Corvette enthusiasts who value friendship, community involvement, and the excitement of the open road.
